Inspirations Everywhere

So many inspirations came to me, that I just want to highlight them...

I love following blogs (especially those that follow my blogs, too) because it inspires me to learn new things - no matter how shallow or deep these might be. When I hopped into one blog (after learning the blogger behind the blog followed my Food Blog), I just can't help but be inspired with the current post. Of course, I left a comment to say how thankful I was to hop into his blog, and his response surely made me feel good. It just feels so good whenever comments are reciprocated, and this little gesture made me learn another thing: respond to comments I receive. :)

Swim

Plank

Leap

First day of this month, sister and I were able to walk to Colinas Verdes. We decided to walk until we reach the clubhouse, and while taking a rest (and taking pictures, too)... I saw this frog swimming in the water. It obviously wanted to get out of the pool, but there wasn't any way of getting out of it, that sister and I felt a little pity. After a few minutes, I was just surprised to see the frog on top of a plank of wood, and in no time, the frog was able to jump out of the pool.

A frog may be just a frog, but this frog taught me a wonderful lesson. Reason why I walked there was to get fit, and in this journey I have seen myself fail lots of times. Just like the frog, I have had moments when I felt I am just running in circles, without any clear vision of where the road will take me. I still haven't had the feeling of giving up, but I am glad I got to meet this frog soon enough, because these pictures will always be a reminder when the day comes that I feel like throwing in the towel. This frog just swam and swam, and it was able to reach his goal. Same thing with me... if I want to reach my dream weight, I just have to keep on moving.

Another inspiration came from a new friend - Pipoy. I met him at the right time, really... because in my many attempts to lose weight, I always tend to slide off the track after one month. I met him just before October ended, and since I met him he has showered me with many motivations to continue doing what I am doing. We are now planning to set a walk/jog somewhere, so he could teach me techniques he used when he successfully lost weight after a mild stroke.

Biggest inspiration for me this week was the result of one month of cutting back on food and exercises. I lost 6lbs. and I really felt good. All the past disappointments from September is now erased, and I am more than ready to face this month. I do pray to lose another 6lbs. this month, but any amount of weight loss will be greatly appreciated.

Things I am thankful for this week:
  • Eating vegetables every day.
  • Still no drop of softdrinks / soda / cola in my body since the first day of October.
  • Sleeping in my brother's room (While he's away).
  • Letting go of two clutters in my life.
  • Sister covering an event for me. I was suppose to attend an event, but my high school buddies invited me for a get together. It's quite unfortunate that our get together was cancelled, but looking at the bright side, at least I was able to cook for my mom and stay with her in this rainy night.
  • Receiving an invitation to attend the Krups Latte Art Workshop. Yey!

This surely has been a fine week, even if I feel sad that I wasn't able to travel to dad's hometown to light a candle on his grave for the All Saints/Souls Day.
