The Elliptical Machine

I haven't posted about my fitness journey for quite sometime simply because I got a little lazy. My food journal has been empty, and I haven't tracked my water intake because I got a little side swept. I was exercising, yes, but not as vigorous as what I used to do in August, and because of that, I gained back everything I lost. I am back to my old weight, but the funny thing was, the clothes that fitted me when I lost the weight still fits me up to this date. Anyway, sad I was, I am already brushing off the negative vibes and just face the present and the future.

This is the Happiness Project, and of course, I have something happy to share. Ever since, I hoped of owning a fitness machine - may it be a treadmill or an elliptical machine. I realized, owning a treadmill was too far fetched as it was so expensive, and I personally didn't want the manual one because it runs at my own pace. The choice then was the elliptical machine, which not only helps the lower body, there are benefits for the arms as well. I was very vocal to my family about it, but I never really asked for anything - I just shared to them that it was my dream machine.

Elliptical Machine

I was so surprised last Saturday when I got home from an event seeing my siblings setting up something. Asking about it, I learned that it was an elliptical machine! I was really surprised because I never realized mom would buy something like that, when I only told her once (a long time ago) that I hoped to own something like that. Well, my siblings and I are all overweight, so the machine serves a lot of purpose.

The picture was blurred, yes. The time I took this, all my batteries (for the camera) were drained, and the only image-capturing device I had was my cellphone. Since I also used my cell phone to take pictures of the desserts at the event I attended, my camera was set to "macro." When my siblings finished setting up the machine, sister tried if it works, and seeing her testing it just made me reach for my cell phone to take a quick picture. Since it was set to macro, the image ended up blurred. I took another image, but this one turned out to be a favorite.

The machine is now inside my room - another something to be thankful about. For the longest time, I have been sleeping on the living room floor, my own bedroom then became a storage room. I am now sleeping in my room - simply because last Saturday, we left the machine in the living room, giving me no choice but to go back in my room. Since the room is now clean and I changed the bed sheets and all (including the curtains), I felt it was the right time to go back to my room. The first night wasn't that good (I tend to awake at the slightest sound), but it wasn't bad either, as I woke up Sunday morning without a backache, something I have been complaining when I was still sleeping on the floor.

By the way, I am no longer going to post about my fitness stories here... I just opened another blog for it; if you have time, do visit me there (click here). It's still new, but in case you want to track how am I doing, the blog will be there to update you. :)
