My Top 10 Influential Blogs for 2011

I have been blogging for many years now, and being a citizen in the blogosphere, I was able to read quite a lot of blogs that not only influenced me, some of those blogs' authors also became online pals. This was my first time to cast a vote for the influential bloggers and I was supposed to cast my votes a long time ago, but for many reasons, it was just now that I am going to list down my 10 influential blogs for 2011.

A little background about this project... the Influential Blogger started 5 years ago by Ms. Janette Toral and aims to recognize the new blogs which has gained a following despite its age. This project was made possible with the help of: Cyber Monday Deals, TRIbeca Private Residences, How To Videos, Palawan Beaches for Sale,Green and Natural Lubes Philippines, Philippine data center, Philippine online shopping, Singapore Jobs, Pinoy Party Food, Manila rentals, and Great product deals.

My Top 10 Influential Blogs for 2011 are:
{in random order}

1) Sleek in the City. The blog's author - Mark Delgado (whom I know as "Madey") was actually one of my first blog-friends. We get to read each others blogs using Multiply as our platform (circa 2005/2006), and even then I have always admired his way of writing. We lost contacts in Multiply, and surprisingly, he was able to find my blog and it opened the gates for friendship once more. I started reading this blog of his a few months ago, and I remembered reading a lot of his posts in one day - that's how influential he is, in my opinion.

2) Foodamn! Philippines. Owned by Darryll Dial-Villena, I like reading this blog because it just have so many food topics to discuss - food events, food trips, regional food products, and so much more. I am a follower of this blog, because I always look forward to Dei's food updates. :)

3) Certified Foodies. The very first time I hopped into this blog via a blog meme, I already fell in love with it. I love how siblings Mhel and Ken presented the blog - from the theme, to the widgets... and of course to their posts. Like Foodamn! Philippines, I also look forward to this blog's new updates, because not only do I love the way they write, I also love the pictures they post. Living up to their blog's name, Mhel and Ken are really "Certified Foodies."

4) RizalPark.Org. Want to know more about the Philippines' national hero? Read this blog. Why do I love this blog? Simply because reading it makes me proud to be a Filipino.

5) My Green Living Ideas. I have been a follower of this blog since I joined its weekly blog meme, "Green Mondays," but aside from that, I love what this blog is aiming for. With so many destructive things happening to our world, it's just so nice to see a blog like this that cares so much for the environment.

6) Notepad Corner. I love reading blogs that celebrates life, and this is just how Joy does it. Not only does she share things about her family life, she also shares things about the many essences of life.

7) Make More Money Online. Well, I really want to know many things how to earn some moolah to help with the little expenses, and this blog has been a great source of reading.

8) Lafanggero. Just reading this blog makes me wish I can do that much food trips, too! :)

9) Blogger Manila. Even if I am blogging for many years now, there are still so many things I need to learn, and by reading this blog, not only do I get to know about events, I also get to learn many things bloggers should know - like how to brand your blogs as well as the current events about the blogosphere.

10) The Lost Boy Lloyd. There are so many good travel blogs around, but I think the only travel blog fit to be part of this year's influential blogs is this one. Although this blog features certain international travel stories, the Lost Boy also features a lot of local travels, which I love to read because I am a frustrated traveler in my own right. I do travel sometimes, yes...but because there are so many local places I hope to visit, I just take pleasure in reading about it for now, hoping I can visit it in the future, too.
