Enjoying My Rest Day

Spicy Pesto
  • Pasta from the neighbors. Our neighbor Charmy is celebrating her birthday today, and like what we always do whenever we celebrate life moments, she gave us a small plate of pasta. At first I thought it was carbonara because of the bacon bits, but I was able to smell the herbs, so it was also a pesto pasta. Quite an interesting pasta dish, and I might try this in the future, too. Happy birthday, Charm!
  • At Rest. I woke up feeling really sore, so I decided to rest today. Half of me feels guilty, half of me loved it.
  • E-Mail Response. I sent an e-mail to my friend Nathalie, and today I got to read her response. Thank you so much, dear.

  • Winner! Last Sunday, I posted about the PR T-Shirt Giveaway, and at first I feared I might not be part of the first 20 bloggers because my comment (where I put the link of my blog) went under moderation, so even if there were about 9 bloggers whose comments were posted, I am not sure how many comments went under moderation. I am a happy blogger today because I was the 16th blogger who completed the requirements, meaning I am expecting a T-Shirt sometime next month. Yipee!
  • Jogging Schedule Set. Our neighbor and my dear friend Ria is doing her own fitness routine (in her last Facebook status, she said she already lost 8lbs.), and since I want to have fitness buddy(ies), I asked her if she's available this Saturday morning so we can jog at Colinas Verdes. I need to attend the Blogger Fiesta Manila event this Saturday, too, but I will jog first (even for just an hour) before preparing for the event.
Sharing something... I watch Pinoy Biggest Loser everyday, and today I nearly cried when I see how much the participants exerted effort to finish their challenges. I am very proud of them, and putting myself in their shoes, I don't think I can do what they are doing... but as the cliche goes, "I'll know once I cross the bridge." :)

In tonight's episode, they had some paralympians as guests - which really gave me so much inspiration and motivation. Towards the end of the episode, one of the paralympians said: "Cast all your worries... Focus."

Everyday, I always seek what is God's message for me, and for today, that was His message.

Do you see God's generosity in the blessings you have received?

Of course! What's really touching is that there were times when I receive blessings without asking it yet. During these times I felt I don't deserve the blessings because I know I am a sinner, but that only shows how generous God is.

My Dinner - 081711

FOOD LOG
  • Breakfast - 2 slices loaf bread + 1 teaspoon mango jam
  • Lunch - 3/4 cup rice, 1/2 cup corned beef with potatoes, 2 pieces polvoron
  • Afternoon Snacks - 2 pieces polvoron
  • Dinner - 3/4 cup rice, 1 tablespoon salted egg with tomatoes, 2 pieces fried galunggong, 1/3 cup steamed sweet potato tops, a taste of the pasta given by the neighbors
My poison today is the polvoron... I can't resist to eat it. Good thing I already ate it all. :)

EXERCISE
As what I said, today is my rest day, and I didn't do any exercises as my body was hurting so much.
