A Day in the Life 081011

Week 2 of my "new life" has started, and I am happy that I wake up each day with renewed enthusiasm to go on with what I am doing.

Milky!
  • Replanting my zinnia plant. From the itty bitty grow pot, I now replanted them in much bigger pots.
  • Me fitting into the "Milky" shirt. It felt amazing seeing a little change - I remember when I bought this, I couldn't recognize the girl in the shirt because my tummy was big; now, even if it's still quite small for me, I am happy to see a positive change in my body. Two more weeks for me to fit into this shirt... lezgow!
  • Making use of my little free time to use the dumbbells.
Do you think highly of yourself or are you like a child who is dependent on God?

In my mind, I always shower myself with praises - it's my way of motivating myself (because negative motivation never works for me), but I never really think highly of myself. I guess it's not my nature to be competitive, and that I don't want to come across as an airhead. It doesn't mean however that I practice false humility; I just want people to tell me how good I am, and not me saying to the world that I am good.

As for "like a child..." I am very dependent on God, but I know I still have so many things to learn to be the kind of child Jesus described in today's gospel.

Pork Nilaga

FOOD LOG
  • Breakfast - 1 cup rice, 2 tablespoons mashed salted egg with chopped tomatoes, 1/2 cup Nescafe brown & creamy coffee
  • Lunch - 1 cup rice, 1 tablespoon mashed salted egg with chopped tomatoes (sister had a lot of leftovers), 3 pieces Vienna sausage, 1/2 cup Nescafe brown & creamy coffee (my leftover from breakfast), 1 mango
  • Dinner - 1 cup rice, 3 pieces bony cut pork (nilaga), 2 small quarters of potatoes, some cabbage
Yes, I did eat some pork fat... but not much; it's really one of the things I should try to avoid, but I know it will take some time.

Soccer Dumbbells

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
  • Hip Hop Abs (Cardio) in the morning.
  • A few minutes of Cindy Kurleto's "Sensual Aerobics," but I didn't finish as the video didn't match the audio.
  • Hip Hop Abs (Hips, Buns, Thighs) in the afternoon. Even then, I already had a difficult time doing this, and this day was no exception. In the last 7 minutes of the routine, I decided to stop because the step required me to do the cat pose first then I had to raise my leg to do the exercises. Not only was it difficult to raise my big leg up and down, my knee (other leg) really couldn't carry my whole body weight that long. I will try again next time, hoping to finish it.
  • Dumbbells. When I tried to fit the Milky shirt, I knew that aside from my tummy, my arms were also a big problem for me. I knew I had to do something about my arms, but I wasn't really prepared to start today. After dinner, mom said she will use the net book first, and I didn't want to just sit and wait for her to finish, so I took out her old soccer dumbbells (1lb each) and started using it while watching television. No definite routine, I just did random moves.
It's already 11:30 now... my tummy is growling because I didn't eat much for dinner, so I'd answer the question tomorrow, I need to sleep now.
