Words that Inspired Me

Says so in the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne: "Your thoughts are magnetic," and "Your thoughts become things." With so many things going on in our lives, it's very easy for us to complain, to hate, to curse... and while it is very difficult to fill the mind with positive thoughts, I do strive to complain, hate, and curse less. Of course, I am human, too, and at times I crumble, but I think I am already doing much better now.

Like what I said last Tuesday, I am continuing with the sharing of the "Inspirational Words" I was able to photograph while flipping the pages of my old scrapbooking magazines. I first thought of sharing ten, but that would eat a lot of space, so I narrowed it down to three.

Cultivate Change

This was from a page created by Ali Edwards, one of my favorite people. I do admire how each of her pages talks about life. It was through her that I learned the term "Life Artist," and her way of living life is just amazing. I consider her one of my heroes. Oh, and I do love her handwriting, too. :)

Every word captured in this image, I echo.

Keep On Learning

Another "spot on" statement. Life is an endless journey of learning, indeed.

We are Beautiful

"I am Beautiful." Something I have yet to learn to say with 100% conviction. Among the pages I photographed (which I also called "God's way of communicating with me"), this struck me the hardest. When it comes to the subject of beauty, I think I'd be the first one to secretly flee away because I still can't consider myself as someone beautiful - out/inside. I admit my mind is sometimes filled with nasty thoughts, but as I have said earlier, I am learning. I just hope sooner or later, I can find the courage to finally say that I am indeed beautiful.

Oh, something that made me happy this week:

Whole Wheat Pancake

Eating whole wheat pancakes!

Typically, I don't like eating pancakes cooked using store-bought pancake mix, but if I had no other choice but to eat it, I'd either add some cheese or hotdogs to it to make it savory. Last grocery day, my sister spotted this pancake mix made of whole wheat, and yesterday she tried to cook it. Adding only some butter and some granulated sugar (we ran out of honey and we don't have any maple syrup), I tasted and liked it. It tasted nuttier than the regular pancakes, and I think this would be a better option since it also had some fiber in it.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
