Truth is, am not really feeling blue; I am actually very happy and alive, I just borrowed that line from Phil Collins' song "Groovy Kind of Love" because it seemed to fit with my current nail color.
The inspiration behind this was from an image posted by Caronia Nail Polish's Facebook page inviting their fans to re-create any one of these "Fresh Twist to French Tips." Fans need to follow the design, but they can use any Caronia Nail Polish color, so I tried to re-create it, since I have learned how to do the French Manicure. It was the simplest kind of French Manicure, only difference is that I used two different colors.
I am very much thankful that our little treasure box has a few bottles of Caronia Nail Polish. My sister once bought two bottles - Bliss and Sapphire, which were the ones I used on my nails. Aside from these two colors, we also had Dare and Black Velvet, but the Dare and Sapphire pretty much looked the same (they would pass as a dupe), and since it might be difficult for the black to show on either Dare or Sapphire, I just chose Bliss as my base coat and the sapphire as the color of my tips, since the Dare one is something I have used back then (it was one of earliest nail polish).
To create this, I just followed the traditional way of doing French Manicure, but I coated my nails with two layers of Bliss and just one layer of the Sapphire. If you want to do this, too, I suggest you wait for the base color to fully dry before covering the tips, as the tacky base polish might make it difficult for you to color the tips.
Actually, Caronia Nail Polish is having this as a contest (deadline is on July 31), so if you have at least two bottles of Caronia Nail Polish that can make a good pair, you might want to try re-creating the look and upload it on your Facebook wall, tagging Caronia Philippines and some of your friends.
