Life Events Celebrated with Food

* warning - photo flood ahead *

It's mid May now, but believe it or not I still haven't blogged about my life events since I got home from a trip last March. I feel I am in a deep hole, I decided to just compile all pictures and make one looooong post to catch up.

Chocolate Cake

07 March 2011

Sister and I got home that morning from Vigan, and the moment I made my Facebook status update, our neighbor Ria called me on the phone to ask what time should we drop by their house because she will be cooking some pasta. The day before, their family celebrated the birthday of Ria's dad, and since I made a comment teasing her that I hope I could get to taste the foods they served, too, she decided to cook fresh pasta for us. Unfortunately, my sister was sleeping come afternoon, so it was just brother and I who dropped by their house. Aside from the pasta, she also served us some cake.

Later, brother and I went to Max's Restaurant in Makati to attend their Fish Fest event. The restaurant introduced their Lenten Season special, and even if most of the foods they served were fish and seafood, they also served us their signature dish - Max's Fried Chicken.

Bulalo Fiesta

Bulalo Fiesta

21 March 2011

The family was invited by Aunt Mary to celebrate cousin Joyce's graduation. They just invited us to dinner, which took place at Bulalo Fiesta in Fairview, Quezon City. It was surely a feast, and I couldn't stop burping! :)

84. Hawaiian Pizza

25 March 2011

Cousin Jayson took home two boxes of Pizza today, and we were all smiles! :)

Salon Day Nail Polished

85. Pata Tim

26 March 2011

I don't know what's the main reason, but sister treated mom and I for some pampering at the salon. Mom had a foot spa, while I had a hair cut (after more than 2 years) and manicure. This was the first time I chose a reddish-tone nail polish, and I really loved it!

Before going to the salon, us girls went to eat lunch at Janet's Pares House, and one of the foods we had was the Pata Tim. Yum yum!

Dr. Pearl Cooler

27 March 2011

I received an invitation from the owner of Dr. Pearl Cooler to attend the opening of their branch in Robinson's Place Metro East. My brother was invited, too, so off we went to attend it. Although there were only three of us bloggers that time (the place was small so they talked to food bloggers by batches, bro and I chose the 10am slot), I did love the solemnity of the event.

Yves' Baptism

Cake

02 April 2011

Sister was invited to be one of Yves' godparents, and she tagged me to the event because she was fearing she might be out of place should one of the other high school friends would not attend. Although I turned out to be the odd man out, I still had a blast taking pictures of the event and the foods they served at the reception.

Pancit Canton

Jay-J's

12 April 2011

Cousin Jayson has been staying with us for about two months now, and the day after he took the ECE Licensure Exams, the family wanted to claim the victory and went on to have an early celebration at Jay-J's in SM Fairview.

Tokyo Tokyo 103. Chicken Donburi

13 April 2011

I was having money problems, and this day was the day I saw the light at the end of the tunnel, because finally, I had enough money to pay off my Internet bill. Internet at home has been disconnected unless I pay off the bill, and today I just made a sigh of relief.

Sister came with me to pay the bill, and seeing that Tokyo Tokyo just reopened after some renovations, we decided to eat lunch there.

Brownie ala Mode

Kenny Rogers Roasters

15 April 2011

My cousin Jayson is now a licensed Engineer, and he treated us for dinner at Kenny Rogers' Roasters. I had their Haianese Chicken, but one of the desserts we had for that dinner was the brownie ala mode. Thanks for the treat, couz, and congratulations for passing the board exams!

Felicity Patisserie

Dory with Tomato-Pesto Confit

19 April 2011

I received a personal invitation to try out foods at Felicity Patisserie, and since I was given the privilege to tag along friends, I tagged my food blogger friends Andrew and Nathalie, as well as my sister. It was sad that Nathalie wasn't able to come with us, but us three still had a very awesome dinner - eating 2 pasta dishes, 6 or 7 main courses, and 5 desserts. Ah yes, foodie heaven, indeed! Each of us had our own favorite dishes for that day, but the one dish that us three all loved was the Dory with Tomato-Pesto Confit.

With Sis and Her HS Friends

Jollibee Spaghetti Chickenjoy

07 May 2011

Today, mom and I were supposed to be traveling to Tagaytay with her colleagues, but the vehicle where we were supposed to ride at was under repair. This day, too, I was supposed to attend the celebration of Hanson Day (yes, us fans here celebrate it yearly), but sister asked me if I could just come with her to celebrate Yves' 1st birthday instead. Well, family will always comes first, so I went with her. I met her wacky high school friends, and although it was a children's party, we really had fun laughing at the people playing the parlor games. It was a very great celebration.

This post only covered until the 7th of May... other life events will be posted in their own time as each event was so special, I really have to devote a space for it.
