01 - Me!
17 February 2010
{Sony Ericsson K800i}
Accomplishments for 2010... at the start of the year, I told myself I won't travel out of town much because I need to save up for a superzoom camera or a DSLR. Well, fate had its own course, because I was able to travel out of town quite a few times this year, and in one of my travels, I was able to hike up to see a real waterfall - one of the things listed in my Bucket List.
One of my resolutions was to love myself more, and I think that's my best accomplishment for the year. I still am not the uber confident person, but at least I have managed to get a few steps. :)

02 - I Love You!
17 October 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
My mom. I was never the mommy's girl, and I will never be her favorite child, but our relationship is really much, much better now. We are like teenage girlfriends - sharing things and all that - and I just love her so much!

03 - Still Laughing
07 February 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
This is Jamy, my friend (and neighbor) Charmy's bundle of joy. The time I took this picture, there was a religious service in our house, and we served some chocolate biscuits as snacks. Jamy was about 7 months old that time, and Charmy gave him one biscuit because it melts in the mouth. They stayed even after the service, and while I was taking pictures of the flowers offered by the guests, I saw Jamy looking like this and we just laughed because we couldn't understand why he'd have sour face when he was eating sweet biscuit. Turned out, there was a piece of wet biscuit stuck in his mouth that he was trying to take out. Charmy scolded me for laughing about it, but she, too, was laughing about it. When she flew to Singapore to seek greener pastures (she left Jamy with her husband), I posted this picture in her Facebook wall and she told me seeing the picture made her laugh and cry at the same time.

04 - Winter Wonderland
30 December 2010
{Canon Powershot SX130is}
This was an item that I thought will be left blank... until we passed by this cake shop that makes custom made cakes in different designs. I saw this one with a snowman, so I stopped by and snapped a pic. I only got to take one because my mom and brother didn't know I stopped and they continued walking.

05 - Birthday
14 September 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
This was my attempt to take a family picture when we went out to celebrate mom's birthday at Mr. Jones in Makati City. May of this year, I won p2000 (roughly usd47) gift certificate for this establishment, and I just thought we use it for mom's birthday. That's her in the orange blouse, my sister next to her, me with the eyeglasses, and brother next to me. I am happy my mom got to enjoy the celebration.

06 - Friends
04 September 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
Me, Lei, and Kei. I met the two of them at an online forum, I became good friends with them, and in 2009, we got to travel to Palawan. We still kept in touch through chats, Facebook, the forum, and text messages, and in September, Lei invited us to celebrate her birthday. I am very blessed to have them as friends, and I am hoping we could get to travel together again.

07 - I Was Inspired
05 June 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
Mid year, I was able to take pictures of a friend in a sensual manner. She's a plus size woman, yet she was really confident wearing something like that, and she became my inspiration to lose weight. Well, partly, I was inspired to look like this, too - realizing I don't really have to be supermodel type to wear something sexy like this, and I was inspired to boost my confidence more. I still am fat, and I still don't know if I can pose like this, but for whatever reason, she is one of my biggest inspirations this year.

08 - Spring Fever
06 April 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
A fern leaf about to unfold... I took this in our garden while watering the plants.

09 - Travel / Vacation
24 November 2010
Fuji Finepix S1800
Of all the items in the list, this was the most difficult to choose. I have traveled to quite a lot of places for 2010, and in the end I chose this picture - for the simple reason that I don't get to travel by air that much, and I am so blessed to have seen a part of my country from above.

10 - Summer Days
26 April 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
I spent one week of my summer vacation in my maternal hometown, and on my second day there, a cousin took me to Patar Beach. It was so hot that day, but these children don't seem to worry about that - they were so carefree and the world was theirs. How great it is to be a child!

11 - A Day in the Life
19 August 2010
{Sony Ericsson K800i}
This is supposed to be a "typical" day in the life, but I seem to not read the explanation and went on to hunt based on the title. Well, "a day in my life," I got to wear a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes! Mom and I checked out a garage sale, and was happy to see these shoes fit me, but even if it was on sale, it was still very expensive for me... well, having a picture of it won't compare to owning it, but, at least I got to wear it even for just a few minutes. Hahaha.

12 - All Smiles
04 March 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
One time, while I was in my paternal hometown, I went to Paratong Beach to watch the sunset. From afar, these kids have seen me taking pictures of the sun going down, and when I sat on the shore to enjoy the view, the child in pink approached me and even attempted to block my view because she wanted me to take a picture of her. One picture after another, and all the kids were in front of me to pose for pictures. I am a very willing photographer, and them seeing their faces in my camera's LCD screen made them really happy. If I see them again when I get back there, I do hope they'd still recognize me.

13 - Autumn Harvest
29 April 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
Given the colors of autumn revolves in orange, brown, and yellow, I just chose this because of its color tone. I took this picture in mom's hometown, while my cousin and I were walking to the farm to meet up with her boyfriend. That's a farmer in a carriage carrying his wood harvest - this part of the farm was used to make wood coals.

14 - Family
25 December 2010
{Canon Powershot SX130is}
It is a tradition in our family to have a family picture on Christmas Day. Here in the Philippines, Catholic people would wait until the clock turns midnight and on the first minute of Christmas, families would share some foods specifically prepared to celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday. After we ate our Noche Buena (Christmas Midnight Meal), we set up the camera for some family pictures. We used the timer, and after some "proper" pictures, we started being wacky. I really don't know one of the pictures came out like this until I reviewed the pictures. The story behind the picture - we were posing, waiting for 10 seconds before the camera takes a shot, and a few seconds before, my sister's elbow hit mom's head as she posed. She held mom's head to say sorry, then the camera fired the flash. I really laughed about how my sister and mom looked, until brother said, "look at the reason why mom wasn't looking at the camera." I zoomed the picture and saw brother's face, which made me laugh more. Well, as his way of posing wacky, brother posed as if he was opening a gift, when he realized the box he was holding had nothing inside. His reaction caught mom's interest and then the flash fired. So there.. that's the best family picture we had on Christmas Day. I love my family!

15 - Celebrate!
31 December 2010
{Canon Powershot SX130is}
Another big celebration is the New Year's Day, and 15 minutes before 2010 expired, we went out to take pictures of us holding sparklers. That's my sister, looking pretty for the New Year. :)

16 - Let's Do It Again
13 April 2010
{Canon EOS 450D}
A gift certificate I won gave me the chance to travel to Tagaytay City, but I was bittersweet about it. I was happy I got to see it and photograph it, but I was sad that I wasn't able to maximize the time I spent there, mainly because my companion didn't want to roam that much. For 2011, I look forward to travel there again.

17 - I Miss You!
16 November 2011
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
This is my dear K, my source of happiness. 2010 was a very great year for me because after two years, he traveled back here in the Philippines, and we got to spend two weeks of holiday together. I miss him now...but we are now planning for another holiday this year, and we are targeting December. I am now crossing my fingers. :)

18 - Beautiful
20 November 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
I am a big fan of the sunrise. Just seeing the sky turn from black to indigo to light purple to pink to blue was just a feast for the eyes. Seeing the sunrise is something that really uplifts my spirit.

19 - Dress Up
24 January 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
This was taken at the only cosplay event I attended for this year; I am always impressed at these people who didn't just wear their favorite manga (Japanese Cartoon) character, they also acted like them, too.

20 - Macro
06 March 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
Taken at the Butterfly Sanctuary in Baluarte (Vigan City), this was my most favorite macro shot because the butterflies were just so friendly!

21 - Holidays
23 November 2010
{Canon Powershot SX130is}
The mall near our place decorated a part of the activity area with this huge gingerbread house where people to use as background for their pictures. I took this while waiting for brother before we ate lunch after doing our Christmas shopping.

22 - My Favorite
27 April 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
This is one of my favorites for 2010... I took this picture when my niece (a cousin's daughter) and I walked to the island shore to take pictures of the sunset. We crossed boulders just so we won't get wet, and atop one boulder I saw this view. Branches were blocking the view, but I thought it gave a great embellishment. When we got to the other side, we talked to the man on the boat and he later on gave us a crab to take home... he was just there to harvest the crabs using baskets he placed in the water in the morning.

23 - Don't Change
09 June 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
My sister and I are really close. I hope our relationship won't change, and if it will change, I do hope it's for the better.

24 - Just Because... So There
28 May 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
I didn't get to post any picture for May, so I just chose this. Mom went home with a bag of fresh quail eggs, and before we cooked it I used it for my subject first. :)

25 - Hopes and Dreams
16 November 2010
{Canon Powershot A1000is}
In 2011, I hope to become a much better individual - more actions, less complaints; more love, less hate. I also hope to strengthen my relationship with God, my family, friends, and with K; and I really, really hope that K and I will be together again.

25 pictures that made up my 2010. It has been a great year, may 2011 be a better one.
