Best Place to Eat Out

I missed most of last month's Girls Talk because I was on a holiday. I am very happy to be back! This month, it's all about "The where to..." and for this week, it's about "Where to eat out."

There are so many food places here in Metro Manila, and because my family is trying to eat at a different place whenever we go out, making a single choice would be really, really, difficult. To give myself some ease, I decided to shift to La Union, my paternal home province. Naming the best place to eat out here is very easy. Where to eat in La Union?

Girls Talk

Midway Grill located in Brgy. Lingsat, San Fernando City. I always see this place since then, but it was just year that I gave it a taste, and while eating, part of my mind was banging my head on the wall for waiting that long for me to try their foods. I guess the unknown always pose a risk, and often times people would just go for something tried and tested. Of course, it's great to discover new things, too, and I am so glad I was able to discover how great their foods are.

They have quite an extensive menu - from snacks to main courses. Located in front of St. Louis Colleges, they have foods which students can afford, but of course they have some expensive items on the menu as well.

Baby Back Ribs

Their signature dish and best seller is their baby back ribs, which comes in regular and hot/spicy. Last October, I brought my friend here, and I tried their ribs, and it was really, really good. The meat is very tender, the sauce complimented the meat, and the smokey flavor was just awesome. It's a big piece of pork ribs for 199, which two people can share. Although expensive, I consider it a good price to pay because the ribs are very meaty.

My friend Ria loved their foods, too (she had grilled squids), that she suggested we eat there again come dinnertime - I had dinuguan, she had beef with brocolli - and both dishes were spot on. I recommended the place to my mom and sibs when they got there (a few days after), and they, too, loved the foods.

The Surfing Break every last weekend of October draws crowd from all over, and food bloggers coming here to eat are all praises, too, so if you happen to come to La Union and would like to eat some good food, you can come here to try it out. It's really delicious.
