New Books!

New Books

I was never a bookworm. Although there are books that I have read, and even if I have some books in my shelf (most are devotionals and self-help), I never called myself a bookworm. So many factors led me to not pursue this good habit, but thanks to the blog memes I have joined that asked things about books, I think it would be a good reason for me to start developing the habit. I really want to be become a bookworm, and of course, the way for me to become one, is to start buying books and read it.

When mom and I were at the Pure Gold duty free store in Subic, I saw a book stand selling books for 100 pesos (roughly 2.60USD) - buy one take one, making the books about 50 pesos each. I thought it was a good price for a book, considering most books are about 300+ pesos each, so I took my time in choosing which 2 books I will get.

I ended up getting these books - "Meet John Trow" by Thomas Dyja and "The Nature of Air and Water" by Regina McBride. Both are novels, and currently I am reading "The Nature of Air and Water." So far, I am liking the story... and because it was written on the first person basis, I somehow puts my place in the person telling the story and create images in my head as she narrates it. I hope to finish the book by the end of this month, so I can read "Meet John Trow" next month.

I am now planning to read at least one book each month. Whether it's a book I bought on sale, or a borrowed book, or the electronic version of it... I really hope by doing this, I can develop the habit. I seriously want to become a bookworm.

New books... happiness in every page!
