One Change #1 - No Rice

My blog friend Chubskulit told me about this meme, and now that I have dropped my secret fitness blog, I decided to just take it here. That way, all will be "under one roof."

Introductions - I am Jenn, I am 30, and I am obese. It's something that I have accepted, and I forgive myself for letting me look like this, but for me 30 is the new 40, and "today" is when my life begins. My journey to fitness actually started over a month ago, and despite my little excuses, my little setbacks, I am happy that I am still on the same road, and I haven't turned back even if I still haven't seen the light. I really want to achieve my goal weight, and I'm going to do it no matter how long it would take me.

1st Change - No Rice!

One change I made this week was my diet. I noticed in the past two weeks of trying to re-create dishes from my culinary magazines, I would tend to eat much, and because I am such a big rice eater, I would feel a little heavy in the tummy after my meal. Rice has been a part of my diet since I learned how to eat it. I could eat rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Making this change would be really difficult, and to make it easy for me, I just told myself this would be the trial period, just to see how long can I go without rice.

I started last Monday, and I am happy that I still haven't had any rice, not even a grain of it. I am very proud of myself. Well, my tummy is reacting at times, but I am happy that I can keep up with the change. My goal is to go one week without rice, but of course, by the end of the week, my body might be used to it that I might not crave for it anymore. I still eat carbs - bread, potatoes, I had spaghetti the other afternoon, but all were minimal amounts. May I be able to keep up with this.
