What made this movie memorable is that my late father and I watched this at the cinema as part of our dad-kid date (my dad would sometimes take her kids out one at a time for some bonding moments). My dad was into action movies (of course), so we chose this movie. Knowing this was a Tarantino movie, at first I asked dad if he was sure, but when he said he wanted to see girls fighting, I just laughed and said, "ohhh-kay." The movie was a bit difficult to understand at first - but after sometime one would get the idea of how the scenes were presented.
I was glad about "girls fighting," oh gosh, they were so great! Combining different forms of martial arts and mixing it with pop culture made this movie very unique and wonderfully executed. I also loved the manga somewhere in the movie.
Kill Bill volume 1 starred Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, Vivica Fox, Daryl Hannah, and David Carradine (+). It was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, with some writing credits given to Uma Thurman.
