After I got home from a week long vacation in mom's hometown last April, I realized that my soles have dried up and started developing hard skin. I only packed a pair of flip flops, so walking long distances in dirt roads everyday really took a toll on my soles. Unfortunately, I didn't pack any moisturizer or lotion, so you know how that looks like. :)

When I went to the weekend market in Lung Center of the Philippines, I saw someone selling socks, and because purple (all shades of it) is my favorite color, seeing something purple in his table made me check it out. He told me that this pair of socks was 35 pesos, but if I buy the other pair (which was yellow), he was willing to give both pairs for 50 pesos. Not bad, I think... so I bought it and gave my sister the other pair.

I have heard somewhere that a key to having soft feet is to put on lotion and socks before going to bed, so I tried it using this pair. We have some lotions that we didn't really like using in the body (like the Victoria's Secret because we tend to get darker when we put it in our arms), so I just use it in my feet. After a week or so, it really helped in softening my soles, so this has been my nightly vanity before snoozing.
