I had a restless evening because of my aching back. I opened my eyes around 8am to read a text message from Halie asking what time we should meet. We have already planned to go out this weekend, and despite my aching back (it was difficult for me to get up because my lower spine was somehow numbed or swollen or something), I still told her I will just tidy up my bed and would prepare to leave.

We met around 10am in the weekend market of Lung Center of the Philippines. We roamed around the market, took pictures of some things that interested us... and one of the things I love to take pictures of every time I go here was the wide array of flowers. However, because it was very difficult for me to bend forward, the only way I could take pictures of the flowers was if I sit or if the flower was high enough so I won't have to bend anymore. I wasn't able to take that much pictures, but I was still happy to have taken pictures of some.
The weekend market actually close down come lunch time, so we figured it was time for us to get going. We hailed a taxi going to Philcoa, and before we took the jeepney going to Fairview, we stopped by a pharmacy first so I could buy some pain relievers - it was funny (and not funny at the same time) that I couldn't even carry my leg inside the taxi, and I couldn't reach the door to close it as well.

Next stop was the La Mesa Eco Park. I found it quite interesting that the first time we set foot in the place was August 2009, and now that we visited it for the second time, we were together again!
For this stroll, we just roamed around, took pictures for the photo hunt we both joined, and just enjoyed the scenery. We didn't opt to visit the butterfly area anymore, we did explore the other attractions outside the main park. We spent more of our time by the lagoon, taking pictures of the quackers (ducks) and the people in the boats.
It was getting late in the afternoon, I only was able to eat breakfast (Halie had brunch at the weekend market), so just before the rain fell we left the park and went to our last stop.

We decided to eat early dinner at the UP Ayala Land Techno Hub because we thought it would be a very great idea to satisfy our tummies as well as our camera and blogs. :) We ate at Reyes Barbecue, because I still haven't blogged about it (even if I already had a taste of their foods from different branches) and that we were on a tight budget.
We waited for dusk just so we could see how the place transformed come night time, but the rain started to fall, and because we both didn't bring umbrellas, we decided to call it a night, after all, we were already able to take some pictures in the area.
My back was able to sustain all the day's walk, but as soon as I hit the bed, I was once again feeling the difficult part of it - turning and getting up to use the bathroom.

Lovely way to reminisce your OWM one day in the future.
Enjoy life while it lasts!
Love the post, miss that part in Quezon City. I used to hang around there more in the city hall (I sat under the tree alone and scribbled letters then go home).
Ok Janu, that is a cute name!
