Jamy's birthday was last 06 July, but it was yesterday that they had the celebration. They chose Jollibee Regalado as the venue because when Jamy's cousin Meciel had her birthday, the family liked how the staff handled the games and the overall rapport with the guests.
We (mom, bro, and I) left the house around 2:30pm so we can make a side trip to SM Fairview to buy a gift. However... as we were walking out of the subdivision, heavy rain fell that made us took shelter in one of the closed shops. Rains continued to pour, and because the road was a slope, rush of rain water started to floor the road. When the rain mellowed a bit (it was still raining hard), we continued walking, but I let my mom wore my slippers as her sandals might not withstand the rush of water. I walked barefoot 'til we reach the highway... glad I didn't step on anything bad. :) We decided to go straight to the party venue and just give the gift next time, after all, we just live next to each other.
Soaked as we were, it was good to find a bus that didn't have much passengers, and it was a pleasant surprise to be seeing my childhood friend Kutchie in the bus. Actually, she was the one who recognized me, and just asked me to sit next to her so we could share stories. It was so great to bump with an old friend, although we didn't miss each other much as there was Facebook. :)
We were the first few ones to arrive at the venue, but the family arrived some 15 minutes later. There weren't much guests as they didn't really invite a lot and that the rain might have caused other guests not to come anymore...

A kiss from the bee. Jamy wore a bee costume and he just looked so cute! One thing I like about this baby is that he doesn't cry when we carry him. He's a very well behaved baby.

Games, p1. There were indeed a few guests, so for the games, they paired the kids with their moms (or dads) for the first game. It was similar to the Twister game, although partners had each other to work with. The game master would ask them to stick body parts with each other and the game will continue until a pair gives up. It was funny to see the parents bend their bodies to their kids', and it was such a great bonding moment for them, too.

Games, p2. There were more adults than kids in the party so the adults played on the next game. It was girls vs. boys, and in the game, they would put a balloon between their legs, race to the marker and when they reach the marker, they have to spell "WOW." (yes, with the period) using their butts before racing back to start and passing the balloon to the next participant. This is my mom and my brother - they both joined the game and they were up against each other. Mom got back faster than brother, but the boys team won the game just because the last person on their team was able to pop the balloon faster the one in the girls' team.
There was another game, the "Bring Me" game, and first item was the "longest belt." Brother went in front first, and it was so funny to see how other people try to beat his belt... well, he has big tummy, which meant longer belt, I just found it funny that our neighbor Philipp was courageous enough to go against brother as Philipp is a very skinny man. :)
They lined up lots of games, but their reservation was only for two hours. The first hour was spent waiting for people to come in, so after three games, they decided it was time to blow the candle and serve the snacks.

Time to blow the candle. Jollibee was with Jamy's parents as they help the baby blow the candle. If you happened to join Litratong Pinoy meme, Charmy was the pregnant woman I took pictures of the time I became the guest photographer of the meme. See how fast time flew? The baby in the tummy is now a year old.

Foods. Snacks served were the classic hotdog sandwich and spaghetti. Not a good picture, I know.. I was actually a bit hungry already. :)
There were only 5 of us in the table - Mr. and Mrs. Jacela and our family... but when the staff asked how many are we in the table, we said 6 because we wanted to keep a share of sister's food. Hahaha, bad. Well, no need to feel guilty, the celebrant's family had lots of foods to take home because there were few visitors.

As always during a Jollibee kids' party, the main mascot would dance to entertain the guests... and the mascot did two dance routines, one with the Jollibee Jollitown theme, and the other was the song "Fire" by 2NE1.
Shortly after, it was time to call it a day. We rode the Villaranda's school service, but us three went off at North Fairview as we still wanted to eat ice cream. That story will be shared tomorrow.
