Birth Talk

On 13 May 1980, the household welcomed the newest addition - a baby girl named Jennifer - that's me. I was named such because my parents both have names that start with JE, and while mom was pregnant, mom just loved the song "Jennifer."

I was born on a Tuesday (12:42 PM), at De Los Santos Hospital in Quezon City. During the delivery, dad was worried why it was taking so long, and he found out that the doctors had to use forceps on me... not because I was big or whatever (I was just around 6 pounds), but because I just didn't want to go out yet. For a while, I had elongated head, but in time it was corrected. Happy were my parents that I came out as normal as I can be, because mom was afraid I might have cleft palate because she slipped and fell hard while pregnant with me.

I wasn't able to ask mom last night about the day I came out in the world, but these things I just know because these were dad's stories to me whenever we get to share things about life in the past. If I get to know more, I will update this post. =)

And because we didn't really own a camera that time, I don't have much baby pictures - just sharing my most favorite baby picture, I think I was already a year old that time.
