Hurting, But Not Broken

315/365 - Youch!

Wednesday of last week, I met an accident here in the house. I accidentally stepped on the cat's tail, it bit me on the ankle, and in my efforts to break free and not completely stepping on the cat, I fell hard on my bum because the cat got in the way where I was supposed to take my step. It was a very hard fall, and in fears that I could hit my head in the floor, I instinctly protected myself using my right hand. Unfortunately, I am a very heavy person, and the hand / arm just can't take all the weight. I ended up having a dislocated elbow.

My siblings were surprised with the impact, but they let me just be by myself. It was a painful injury, and I can't straighten my right arm. Still, I am able to get online because the computer table can let me rest my arm.

Because of the injury, I had to cancel some scheduled events I had to attend = watching the live show of Survivor Philippines - Palau, and the Dress to Kill fashion event in SM Megamall. It was a bit painful for me not being to attend, but of course I got to nurse my elbow.

I learned a few things about this injury... I can whine and cry and hurt over getting hurt, but the world wouldn't stop for my misery. Somehow, I got to get my act on and move forward. Having an injured elbow sure hurts a lot, but I have to cope up and move on. Same goes with the events... I know there will be more events to follow after these.

I am still hurting - I still can't get my arms straight, but I am not broken. I still have my spirits soaring high. I will be healed in due time. I am still lucky I didn't crack any bones. Life is still good.

Hi Jenn, i really dunno why the photo is not showing. But anyhow, i can just imagine what you are showing off through the details you included in this post.

Am sorry of your accident and i hope the elbow will heal soon. I hope too the cat is not angry with you for stepping on his tail. Delikado talaga ang nangyari. Buti nalang hindi ulo ang na hit mo.

Hugsss to ease some of your pain. Happy Monday!
