30 July 2009
It rained during the wee hours in the morning, but when we started fixing ourselves for this trip, the weather suddenly became much nicer. We took the 7AM bus going to Binalonan, Pangasinan and from there we took the jeepney to the church. We got to the church quite early, so we were able to hear mass at 11AM.
The message of the mass is just like what I have been hearing from the SFC Metro Manila Conference - that all that we have aren't really ours, but God's. After the mass, we said our personal prayers to Our Lady of the Rosary. Basically, it was a gratitude prayer for us - for good health, for good life, and for my cousin passing the nursing board exams. We also offered a mass for the death anniversary of grandpa and Aunt Zorayda.
Whenever we go to Manaoag Church, we would always eat at Magic Mall in Urdaneta, but for this trip, we packed some lunch and ate at the church's grounds. It was just on that day that I realized there was a space for people who wanted to eat. Great!
We still went to Magic Mall in Urdaneta, but only to buy some groceries and to have some snacks. I asked my friend DeeJay if he could meet us up in the mall, but he was busy in school preparing for the exams of his students. I guess it wasn't time for us to meet yet - either that, or he was a little hesitant in meeting my aunt and cousin.

We left Urdaneta quite early. When we reached La Union, we saw this rainbow, and immediately took a picture of it. I have always loved seeing rainbows. I was happy that we had a great time, we had a safe trip, and I was able to see a rainbow.
Thank God for life's simple pleasures!
