... before I celebrate my 29th birthday.
But last Thursday (30 April), I already had my first celebration when the girls and I had our Household Prayer Meeting in our house. Actually, it wasn't really supposed to be a birthday celebration, but since I cooked spaghetti and had the junior cake (which I got the night before) to serve, and mom also bought fried chicken for us to share, I just told the girls I was having a very early birthday celebration. Well, we won't be having an HPM here in our house by the time I celebrate my birthday, so might as well have it. Too bad Lorebie wasn't with us.
Anyway, whenever someone celebrates a birthday, it's just common for the celebrant to list down some wish list. Well, I will be 29, so in spirit of this "privilege game," I am listing down my twenty nine wishes.
- Canon EOS 40D. My dream DSLR (at the moment), even if I am still afraid to make the jump, I am hoping to own one so I would know my real potential in photography. Owning a DSLR would also open new doors for me - primarily taking photography lessons and playing with the camera features not present in my point and shoot digital camera.
- Telephoto lens. I am into traveling now, and traveling means checking out different places. However, taking shots of beautiful landscapes and things far from where I was standing would be difficult if I don't have this kind of lens. I have no knowledge to the range of the lenses yet, so no specific telephoto lens yet.
- Macro lens. Macro photography was the first type of photography I learned and is one I loved the most, so naturally, I would want to have one as well.
- Holga Lomo Camera. I have seen pictures taken from this "plastic camera" and at first I wasn't really impressed or interested with it, until I saw Buge's pink lomo camera. What got me wanting this camera was that it can use ordinary film, and when printed, it will also show the holes on the film. I really loved it!
- Photography Books. Because I cannot enroll myself in photography lessons, the next best thing to learn about it is through the books.
- Ipanema Gisele Bundchen Slippers. Because I own four pairs of Crocs slippers now, I think I want to check out the others, too!
- Trip to the Avilon Zoo. I really would like to hold a tiger cub for real.
- Nature Photowalk. No specific place, just the chance to take pictures of nature is something that would make me really happy.
- Food Trip at TGI Fridays. Just because I still haven't eaten there yet.
- A body bag. I am always using the body bag I bought in Banaue, Ifugao and I think I need to replace it.
- HP Mini-Note 2133. It's small, yet has 160GB internal memory.
- 1 Terrabyte External Hard Drive. With the growing photo files and song files I am storing in our PC, I really need to have a bigger hard drive.
- Blush On. Preferably in dark pink (almost brown) tone.
- Street Food Trip. While in college, I loved eating different foods along Teresa Street near the university I attended. Now that I have a camera and a blog, I am hoping I could revisit the place and do a much detailed street food trip.
- "I am Sam" DVD. I just love this movie.
- Study Lamp. So I can do scrapbook layouts even in my room.
- Basic Grey paper pack. Something with the girly tone.
- A personalized card. I always prefer receiving personalized card over the ones bought from the stores.
- Subscription to Scrapbooks ETC magazine. My favorite scrapbooking magazine.
- A ring. Something simple, but something that doesn't look like a wedding ring, just like what I have on right now.
- Lavender Nail Polish. My color of choice.
- Manicure / Pedicure. I am not really into this, but, my nails need pampering, too, right?
- Carolina H20 Perfume. Always been in my wish list since 2004.
- PNR Train Ride. They say it's not a good thing to experience, but a chat with K wanted me to try it, too.
- Tinted Windows CD. Taylor Hanson has a new band (but he still hasn't separated from Hanson, okay?) and they just released an album.
- Rocky Road Cake. My favorite cake.
- Strawberry Belgian Waffle. From Starbucks.
- A Very Big Pillow. Something to hug during the lonely nights and something to punch on terrible nights.
- A flower. I am not choosy, but if someone could give me a yellow tulip, I would be very happy.
Some wishes are very over the moon, while some are achievable. How many shall come true? Let's all find out.
