April of last year was when I joined the Thursday blog meme, Litratong Pinoy. I have wanted to do it since February, but I had hesitations because I wasn't really into photography at that time. It was a great thing that the admin of the meme didn't really require professional photographers to be able to join the meme.

Last week of April (as I celebrate my first year in LP), I received an e-mail from the admin asking if I could be the guest photographer for this week's theme. The theme was, "Simula Pa Lamang," or "Just the Start," and I went for pregnancy pictures. I have two pregnant friends, Ahdz and Charm, and at first I hoped to take pictures of Ahdz as she doesn't have any preggy pictures yet, but her mother didn't allow me to take pictures of her - she said pictures are bad for the pregnant. Good thing Charm lives next to us, and she happily obliged to have her pictures taken.

Speaking of Litratong Pinoy, Lino already posted pictures taken from his camera during our last meet at the Aliwan Fiesta, and I grabbed the now signature picture during LP meetings:


The "1, 2, Talon" (1, 2, Jump) shot. During the second meet up last August, we tired ourselves jumping and jumping. And last April, after eating lunch and before going to the festival grounds, we went for a jump shot near the marina. Lino didn't bring his tripod and his remote control, so he put his camera on top of his bag and using the self timer, we did the shot. We had about three shots (getting used to the timer took sometime to master), and this was the last.
