A Week of Gratitude

One Sweet Day (details)

Last week (and parts of this week) has been stressful, overwhelming, sad, and gloomy... yet the things I am thankful for still outweighs that of the negative things.
  • Thankful for Andre's treat - not only did I get to eat for free, I was also able to be with friends and be close with them, get to know them better, and just have a great time.
  • Thankful for the people I got to "meet" in the Shutterbugs... I don't know them personally, but I am over the top thankful for the way they impart their knowledge in photography. Seeing their photographs has inspired me and challenged me to strive more, learn more, and be a better photographer. I know I still have a long way, but I know in time I could get to be the best that I can be.
  • Thankful for being able to see my sister after how many months. With that is my sheer gratitude of knowing she's doing fine and she's actually happy.
  • Thankful for having a big brother who's such a trooper. Because of him I got to take pictures of that bridge by the Pasig River near Escolta. Because of him also, I got to take a picture of the Post Office Building in Manila. If not for him, I don't think I would be able to stop and take pictures. Despite the very sunny and hot weather, he was still nice to wait on me as I take pictures.
  • Thankful for always being safe. When brother and I visited sister, there's this one man who's always following us and we were quite afraid that the man might do something bad to us... thanks for the delay in the departure of the ship my sister's in, the man just vanished - maybe he got tired waiting on us.
  • Thankful for the neighbors who have come together to fight for a cause. It's really hazardous to have a cell site in the neighborhood, and I am happy and thankful that we are united to fight against it.
  • Thankful for having attended another prayer meeting last night... along with that I am thankful that Bhie attended - it was our first prayer meeting with her and it feels really nice to get to know more of her and grow with her spiritually.
  • Thankful that I have given my first tithes... it wasn't that much, but it really came from my heart.
  • Thankful to have finished a scrapbook layout. The last layout I created was June (of July) of last year, and I am just so thankful that I was able to touch my materials again.
  • Thankful (always, always) for the good health, the safety of the family, the close family ties, for protection, for the roof over our heads, the food at our table, the clothes on our bodies, and thankful that despite the crisis the whole world is feeling, I could say that the family is still surviving.
  • Thankful for the smiles and the positive energy.
The image in this was a part of the scrapbook layout I created. Will do a separate entry for it later. Thank you for stopping by here.
