From Stephen

My First Flowers

06 January - I was washing the dishes when brother called out my name to say that I have a package. I knew Stephen has already sent his gift, but I didn't realize it would be that quick because he told me I should still wait for two days. Wow, fast service... nice!

Stephen never really told me what his gift was, and I surely had no idea when I was handed the box, but the delivery man spoiled the excitement when he told me it was a dozen red roses inside the box while I sign the delivery papers.

I was so excited to see the flowers and I was so happy when sister got home. She took the digital camera, and because she was already home, I asked her to take pictures and be my paparazzi. She was a diligent photographer and I was a happy woman who's acting like a 17 year old girl.

Well, I may be 28 now, but it was just now that I received a flower. What's great is that I received a dozen flowers... hmmm.. actually, it wasn't just a dozen if you count all the baby's breath flowers! =) After pictures were taken, I immediately put them in a vase for all to see.

Flower Arranging

Arrangement

A little something about the sender... Stephen was one of my first friends in Multiply. He wasn't my friend yet, but I already started developing an interest on him. When he became my friend in 2005, I was happy and he did live up to his user name - he was a kind spirit, indeed. Through him I learned about HTML and other Internet things, and with his help I was able to build my Multiply site.

However, my interest on him developed into a crush and I wasn't really ashamed to say how I felt about him. We were chatting almost everyday and not only was he a kind spirit, he's a cutie, too. Sadly, my honesty rubbed him in the wrong way and we stopped talking altogether.

We didn't talk for many years, until last year, when I received a forwarded e-mail from him. I thanked him for the e-mail and after one or two months after that, we started talking again. Things has certainly changed, and I was happy that he no longer has that wall in between us.

He and I love each other, yes, but we cannot really get into a relationship because realistically speaking, none of us are willing to relocate ourselves in case we enter a relationship and get married eventually. Platonic, if you must call it, but as long as no one is willing to relocate, we will just be like that - great friends.

Center Table

I placed the vase of flower in the center table of our living room, and when mom saw it, she was happy about it. Actually, she was more excited than I am. The next day, there was a prayer meeting here in our house and my mom's close friend loved the flowers, too.

To Stephen, thanks so much for the flowers. Never in my wildest dreams have I thought about receiving flowers. Thanks for making a dream a reality. I don't know where this relationship is leading to, but do know that I care so much. Hugs and Kisses!
