New Friends

Joining SFC (Singles for Christ) has been one of the best things I did this year, and not only am I walking on the right path now because of the teachings, I am also thankful to have met great people that I now call friends.

Because I wasn't able to attend the Lord's Day celebration because I was in Bohol, I decided to meet up with some of them the weekend after I got home. I received an invitation to offer services to the baptism of another group in another area (still part of our sector), I didn't hesitate anymore. I am excited at the same time because Angela told me that she will be bringing my graduation kit as well as my "prize" for the complete attendance during the Christian Life Program.

After the baptism, Ran, Ecko, and Ela told that they would love to drop by our house, because that's what we talked about before. It was a bit late already - past 7pm, but they still made their way to come with me. We also dragged Mhau with us because Ran is her cousin.

I am so thankful that sister was kind enough to cook spaghetti and prepare tuna spread for us to eat. Chit-chatting with them sharing stories were so awesome, that even if Ela didn't have much voice, we still had a great time. They told me so many great stories about the graduation, the Lord's day, the Thanksgiving mass and party.. and although it was sad that I missed it, I don't regret anything for I also had a great time wherever I was at that time.

Of course, the day would not end without pictures, so here are some shots that night:

*** Ecko and Ran do the pose. I so love this shot. Well, I was the one who shot this picture! ***

*** Me, Ela, and Mhau. Just a simple shot by Ecko. ***

*** Ecko loved doing shots that will make the viewers ask, "What are they doing?" This is just one of those shots. ***

*** There was this gag show that has the famous line, "Whatever, loser" with matching hand signals. We were talking about the show and they just did this pose. With a camera on hand, I decided to just take a snapshot of them. ***

It was already 10pm when they left because we just had so many things to talk and laugh about. They are some of the precious gifts I have received this year. They know how horrible my past was like, and they're still there to welcome me with open arms. Friends like them really do make life much better.

Thanks for the great night, Ran, Ecko, Ela, and Mhau. Hope to see you all this weekend.

*** Jenn ***
